WHAT IS FOB C&F & CIF Charges & Costs:

Payment of freight costs will depend on the type of shipping:

1. FOB: Free On Board, this is the vehicle purchase price plus the costs of processing (vehicle purchase cost, auction fee, transport & handling within Japan, de-registration and document processing fees, service fee).

2. CIF: Cost, Insurance and Freight, which is the vehicle purchase price, the cost of processing and cost of freight. We will send you the Customs Invoice, Bill of Landing and all necessary documents and inform you of the arrival date.

Total price of your vehicle consists of the following elements:

RO-RO a) FOB Price Auction price (successful bid) + FOB charge + Inland transportation + Extra Charges Insurance 3000 JPY

B) C&F Price

Auction price (successful bid) + FOB charge + Inland transportation + Extra Charges Insurance 3000 JPY + Freight

Container A) FOB Price

Auction price (successful bid) + FOB charge + Inland transportation + Vanning+ TRS + Extra Charges Insurance

B) C&F Price

Auction price (successful bid) + FOB charge + Inland transportation + Vanning+ TRS + Extra Charges Insurance + Freight

TRS* - terminal receiving service plus documentation, customs clearance

Extra charges:

Insurance is optional, 3,000 yen. Please, inform us to insure your shipment during the order process if you need
Freight information above is valid for a usual sedan. However, freight costs depend on a vehicle dimensions. Accordingly, delivery of large cars, trucks, buses etc will be more expensive.
In order to reduce your costs, we transport your car from the Auction Hall, where it was purchased, to the nearest port in Japan. In case the nearest port is quite far from the auction hall, additional charges might be expected.

Who is a Shipper? Shipper is an Owner of the cars. Who contracts delivery with carriers?

Who is a Consignee? Consignee is Receiver on BL. Responsible to pick up the carriage after unloaded. B/L - Bill of Lading Official Legal document signed by the captain, agents, or owners of a vessel, furnishing written evidence of the quality and quantity of cargo for the conveyance and delivery of merchandise sent by sea to a specific destination. It represents ownership of cargo between shipper and carrier.
